The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare
The Duchess Deal is another delightful historical romance novel from Tessa Dare, a wonderful author.
The Duke of Ashbury meets Emma Gladstone for the first time when she walks into his library wearing a wedding gown. A vicar’s daughter who was thrown out of her home by her father, Emma is now working as a seamstress in London. The Duke’s former fiancee broke off their engagement and neglected to pay Emma for the wedding dress. Without that payment today, Emma’s landlord will throw her into the street.
The Duke hates the wedding dress but is intrigued by Emma. And he needs an heir – therefore, he needs a wife. Obtaining a wife should be simple for a duke, but this duke was horribly burned in the war and he wants a wife who is not repulsed by his burns. Emma doesn’t flinch.
A few days later, they are married. Can this marriage of convenience become more? That is the question.
I liked this book at lot.
