This specter of this man now rides with him, in the back of his car, at all times. The plots are great, too. Recommended.

Home Cooking: A Writer in the Kitchen by Laurie Colwin is $1.99 for Kindle today. This is a wonderful book on cooking and family life from the treasured novelist Laurie Colwin. I loved this book. Recommended.
Family Happiness by Laurie Colwin is $1.99 for Kindle today. Ms. Colwin was a fantastic novelist of what we now call ‘women’s fiction’. She probably would have just called her books novels about the human condition (unfortunately, she died several years ago). In this classic novel, a Park Avenue wife and mother who has it all falls in love with an artist, and must decide what she will do for love.
